The Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park Arlington TX is one of the most beautiful in Texas. The memorial is located at the corner of Spanish Trail and Arkansas Lane, and is a community project developed by the Arlington Great Southwest Rotary. Marine Lt. Col. James W. Persons, who lived near the park, noticed the lack of a flag pole. He and his fellow Rotarians decided to fix it.
