What New Regulations Has Texas Put In Place?
As noted in a previous post on our blog, Texas recently updated its rules regarding Hemp-derived products, most notably adding that THCA must also be included when calculating total Delta 9 content for a given product. This new regulation effectively banned products featuring THCA, including especially popular THCA Hemp Flower.
The Texas Hemp Industry Responds
Swiftly following the release of these new regulations, Hometown Hero—a leader in the fight for legal Hemp-derived Cannabis in Texas—filed a legal challenge to the recently added rules. From there a TRO was put in place on enforcement of the new rules, making THCA legal again, if only temporarily.
What Happens Next?
While originally scheduled for April 23rd, an injunction hearing to determine the final call on what can remain as part of Legal Hemp in Texas is now set to take place between April 28th and 30th. In the meantime, now is the time to stock up on your favorites while you can.
